BOYS TRACK AND FIELD: Greyson Schneider headlined several top performances by the Ramblers at Niles North’s Dan Horyn Invitational on Wednesday.

A junior, Schneider finished first in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles in 41.79 seconds and took third in the pole vault with a mark of 12 feet, 0 inches at the 12-team meet. 

Senior Jack Loveland placed second in the 400 (50.35) and fourth in the 200 (24.13). Junior Alex Owens was second in the 3,200 (10:.20.89), and freshman Spencer Werner finished second in the 1,600 (4:29.85). 

Senior Eli Miller took third in the 800 (2:02.47), while senior Jack Lynch was third in the 3,200 (10:21.29). Junior Billy Delaney finished fourth in the 800 (2:03.58). Senior Eddie Auer placed fifth in the triple jump (36-2 3/4), and sophomore Jack Chalen was fifth in the 110 high hurdles (17.46). 

Loyola’s 4×100 and 4×200 relays both took fourth, while the 4×800 finished fifth. 

The team’s next meet is April 27 at Marquette University High in Milwaukee. 

GIRLS SOCCER: The Ramblers extended their winning streak to three games Wednesday with a 2-1 win over Oak Park-River Forest at New Trier as part of the Naperville Invitational. Winners of four of its last five, Loyola (6-4-2) is 2-0 at the tournament, which concludes April 27. 

Before Wednesday, freshman Molly Sipe was first on team in goals (5) and tied for first in assists (3). Senior Maggie Brett, who had played seven games, was second with three goals. Freshman Kaitlyn Kurtz had one goal and three assists, while freshman Grace Ehlert had two goals. 

A total of 12 players had at least one goal and nine had at least one assist.
