Led by the Women’s Varsity 8, four Loyola boats qualified for the Scholastic Rowing Association of America’s national regatta Friday and Saturday at Dillon Lake in Nashport, Ohio.
Seniors Ally Abeles, Katherine Carroll, Emma Hahn and Fiona Wardrop and juniors Lauren Hering and Sophia Molins all rowed together last season on a boat that took second place in the V2 category at nationals.
They are joined by junior Caroline Colgan, sophomore Ella O’Neil and sophomore coxswain Kristen Dutkin.
A JV8 national champion as a sophomore, senior Ben Dukes headlines Loyola’s Men’s Varsity 4 boat. Senior Patrick Beale-DelVecchio, junior Gerry Malloy, junior Aiden McCarthy and junior coxswain Courtney Cochico round out the team.
The Ramblers also will be represented by the Women’s JV4 (sophomore Olivia Banach, sophomore Marren Burgess, sophomore Lilly Fenci, sophomore Hannah Locke and sophomore coxswain Alex Cherf) and the Men’s JV4 (junior Jack Dietmeier, junior William Hirsch, junior John Stazlka, junior Thomas Sullivan and junior coxswain Denny Yoo).
