The Ramblers used a big second half Saturday to close out the season with a 17-6 win over Naperville North and a third-place finish at the state tournament, the first run by the IHSA.

Leading 6-4 at the break at Hinsdale Central, Loyola (21-4) scored the first eight goals of the second half to pull away from the Huskies. Fittingly, senior captain Riley Dolan (pictured above) scored the game’s final goal. She finished with two goals, three groundballs and two caused turnovers.

Freshman Maley Starr had four goals, one assist and two caused turnovers. Senior Claire Caffery totaled two goals and two assists, while sophomore Sophia Rucker had two goals, one assist and two caused turnovers. Junior Lauryn Repp had two goals and four caused turnovers. Junior Emily Doell scored two goals, while sophomore Annabelle Burke, sophomore Kelsey Koch and freshman Ellie Lazzaretto each contributed one point.

Seniors Mary Kate Campbell, Helen Hitt, Caffery and Dolan all played their final game for the Ramblers.
