As I reflect on Maroon & Gold’s first school year, the first thing that enters my mind is an overwhelming sense of gratefulness. I took a big leap of faith when I quit my full-time newspaper job last spring to start this website. I have no regrets. That’s because of you. Thank you for all of the support you showed me. I wouldn’t have made it this far without you.

From Aug. 22 to June 3, I attended 118 events, went to dozens of practices, made hundreds of phone calls and posted 307 items over the 284-day span. Yet, it never truly felt like work.

As a reminder, subscriptions expire Friday, June 30. I want nothing more than to continue M&G for the 2017-18 school year, and I currently am taking steps to make sure that happens. The plan is to start Year 2 on Aug. 1.

Stay tuned.
