GAME RECAP: Everybody on the roster played Friday as the Ramblers rebounded from their first loss of the season to beat the Spartans in Wheaton.
Running back Trevor Cabanban scored two touchdowns in the first three possessions to lift Loyola (3-1) to a 35-0 lead at intermission. Running back Nico Green also scored two rushing TDs, while quarterbacks Aidan Clark and JP Gourley each threw TD passes.
Kicker Thomas Schafer made all six extra points and connected on a 37-yard field goal.
Defensively, the Ramblers were dominant. Defensive backs Artist Benjamin and Andrew Busch both had interceptions, while linebackers Jake Holecek and Anthony Kozlowski each had strong games, according to Loyola head coach Tony Minestra.
COACH’S COMMENT: “This was a team victory all the way through. It’s exciting to see all of our guys get a chance to contribute on game day. These young men work so hard every day at practice.
