Loyola 28, St. Rita 7
GAME RECAP: A steady rain didn’t damper Loyola’s perfect season as the Ramblers defeated the visiting Mustangs 28-7 to move to 6-0. The defense got good performances all over the field. Linemen Conor Hough and Tim Thompson led the charge up front, while Jack Burke and Hugh Kelly solidified the secondary. Thompson even got into the end zone in the second half when he picked up a fumble and ran for a touchdown. Quarterback Jack Fallon threw two TD passes, one to Artie Collins and another to Charlie Owens. Running back Michael Gavric ran for a score.
COACH’S COMMENT: “It’s always nice to get a win against a tough St. Rita team,” Loyola sophomore coach Les Seitzinger said. “It makes it that much more special do it on Homecoming.”
