Loyola 34, Maine South 7

RECAP: The Ramblers improved to 2-0 on the season with their victory over the Hawks at home Saturday. Maine South scored on the first play, but the Ramblers shut down the Hawks after that and went into the half ahead 20-7. The defense was headlined by linebacker Mike Kadus and defensive lineman Nikko Landon. Both players finished with two sacks apiece. Behind strong play from the offensive line, running back Michael Gavric and receiver Rory Boos were able to experience big days. Boos scored two touchdowns to lead the offense.

COACH’S COMMENT: “It’s always an honor to line up against such an accomplished program as Mount Carmel,” Loyola sophomore coach Les Seitzinger said of his Week 3 opponent. “We’ll need to be exceptionally sound in all three phases of the game to beat them. Our staff always looks forward to the challenge.”
